Liv Tyler is daughter to lead singer Steven Tyler of the band Aerosmith, and model/groupie/ musician Bebe Buell. For the first eleven years of her life she believed that rocker Todd Rundgren was her father. It was only while she was backstage at an Aerosmith concert that she discovered the truth when she noticed just how much she looked like Steven's daughter.
      At fourteen she and her mother left Portland, Maine for New York, where she got her start as a model. A year later she decided to move into an acting career.
      Liv's first role was in the movie Heavy in 1995, and only three weeks later she was cast in Silent Fall opposite Richard Dreyfuss and Linda Hamilton, thus prompting James Mangold, director of Heavy, to delay shooting until Liv was available.
      Liv is engaged to longtime British boyfriend, Royston Langdon, lead singer of the band Spacehog.
