Angelina Jolie plays American socialite Sarah Jordan who falls for an outspoken doctor Nick Callahan, played by Clive Owen. The two of fall in love, but because of their first love, their passion for Human Rights and their determination to feed the hungry in such places as war-torn Cambodia, they are constantly finding themselves going down separate paths. But when Sarah receives a call that Nick has been made a prisoner in Chechnya, she realizes she has one more chance to rescue her man, and to rekindle their passion.
