A veteran of more than 300 commercials, film, theatre and television, Tony Travis and his four
siblings were raised by Italian parents.
Growing up in the city of neon lights and Broadway marquees, it's no wonder that Tony found
himself drawn to the life of Arts & Entertainment. An accomplished singer and muscian, Tony
began his career as lead vocalist for the rock band Christmas In July, during which time
he spent a good portion of his youth playing clubs in and around Brooklyn.
The charismatic showman won wide acclaim playing the Referee in the long-running wrestling
musical Tanzi, produced by John Wells. Some of his other stage credits include, Your
Own Thing, A Gorgeous Piece, Dracula, and Joe’s Opera.
Tony has guest-starred on numerous television shows, and had supporting roles in such movies as
the Bruce Willis blockbuster, Die Hard With A Vengeance, Roger Corman's Recruits,
and the cult favorite, Flesh Gordon Meets the Cosmic Cheerleaders.
Aside from his acting credits, Tony has also written a half hour CBS comedy pilot Futurstars,
and People Radio Magazine, a nationally syndicated radio program. He wrote and directed
the hit, Revue Roxetts, at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles, and was a founding member of
the popular improv group: The Lunatics. A man of many talents, Tony has also composed over 100
songs, including tunes heard in Tony N'Tina's Wedding.
Tony is married to opera singer Karen Ramey, and has a dog named Pez. Dividing his time between
New York and Los Angeles, he formed Pez Productions to develop and produce works for film, television and theatre.
