ED HARRIS

Ed Harris attended Columbia University for two years then moved on to the University of Oklahoma,
where he studied acting. In 1973, Harris moved to California and entered the California
Institute of the Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.
Ed made his New York stage debut in Sam Shepard's "Fool For Love," a part for which he earned
the 1983 Obie Award in the Outstanding Actor category.
He began his feature film career with small parts in such movies as "Coma" and "Borderline", but
is best known for his roles in "The Right Stuff", "The Abyss" and "The Truman Show".
He is married to actress Amy Madigan.
