Once described as having "The face of a truck driver" Gene Hackman has hammed it up a Lex
Luthor in Superman and been Will Smith's mentor in Enemy of the State.
Whether he plays a sussed Good Guy [Narrow Margin] or a ruthless, ice cold baddy [Extreme
Measures] Hackman is a 'must see' act. Troubled, obsessed, and brutish as Popeye Doyle in
the French Connection and deeply flawed in The Firm, Hackman brings a common man signature to many roles and has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to silver screen credits. Hackman gives the impression of a ticking timebomb in many roles but can be a charming, if weatherbeaten, leading man with the best of them, not bad for a Truck driver.
