Anthony Edward's father is an architect and his mother an artist. He is the youngest of five children,
and for as long as he can remember he wanted to be an actor. This desire prompted him to
participate in several drama workshops, and by the time he was 16 he had performed in many
plays and musicals. Later Anthony Edwards went to England and took part in a summer workshop
at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and then it was back to California to study at the
University of Southern California.
During the next two years he won parts in various feature films such as "Fast Times at Ridgemont
High", and the mega hit "Top Gun" starring opposite Tom Cruise. But most Anthony
Edwards fans came to know him as Doctor Green in the critically acclaimed
television series, "ER", a role which earned him a People’s Choice Award as Favourite Male Television Performer.
