Casey Affleck was born in Falmouth, Massachusetts to Chris, a school district employee, and Tim, a former actor with the Theater Company of Boston, who now works at a recovery center for alcohol and drug abuse. Casey also has an older brother, actor Ben Affleck, with whom he starred in the movie Good Will Hunting.
      Casey got his first real acting job when he was only twelve, landing the part of Kevin Bacon's little brother in Lemon Sky, a 1988 PBS presentation. After he finished high school, a move to California saw him get that big break in the Gus Van Sant movie To Die For. After the film wrapped, Casey enrolled at George Washington University and at Columbia University. Casey left school to devote more time to his acting.
