Ben Affleck moved with his family to Massachusetts at a young age, and began his acting career at eight years of age in the PBS television series Voyage of the Mimi. After high school Ben moved to New York to continue his acting career. His younger brother, Casey, soon followed in his thespian footsteps.
Ben's mother is a schoolteacher and his father is a counsellor at a drug rehab facility in Southern California.
Together with his long time friend, Matt Damon, Ben went on to write the Academy Award winning screenplay, Good Will Hunting.
He is currently married to actress Jennifer Garner. They have one child.
